[Vwpickups] clutch

Mattew's suggestion is quite valid...pull the green cap first and check
for cracked/broken release lever.

If its not that, the rod has likely punched a hole in the pressure plate
cap (what would you call that...a release cap? Its the one that sits over
the pressure plate springs and what the rod pushes on). There have been
several reports of this happening with some replacement clutch kits after
a short amount of time...the button the rod rides on just pops right
through the metal.
