Glenn, I don't think it is an aftermarket trim. I've had 2 caddy
pickups, an 81 and an 82 and they both had the
same rubber insert type of body trim. I don't have any idea of where
you would get replacement trim
other than a pick n pull place. I've spent a lot of time over the
years keeping mine from getting pulled off.
I use trim glue, which is a contact cement, I think. The hard part is
getting it to stick properly. I've ended up
using a kicker (a saw trim about 1/8" and however long necessary) off
the wall in my garage to get pressure
on the glue while it dried. It helped. Sorry I can't be more help. At
first I thought you were talking about the
strip of tape on the front of the back fender which is a rock guard
sort of thing. If this needs to be replaced,
you can go to a home center and get tape for stair treads, 4" wide.
It needs to be 18" long for each side.
This has held up well for me, still looks brand new and it has been 5
years since I did it. joe
