[Vwpickups] cam cover gasket

Just talked to my local VW dealer in York, PA and he said all they  
sell are rubber valve cover gaskets for the AHU motors.  Any motor  
later than that and VW sells you a new valve cover!  Anyhow, the VW  
part number is 028-103-483-G and they retail for $55.  The other thing  
that was mentioned during the conversation was that there is an oil  
pan adhesive of some sort that is used instead of a gasket.  I've  
never heard of it but if they sell it, it must not leak!!  Give your  
loal dealer a call and see what they have to say.......Jack
