[Vwpickups] instrument cluster

Methinks that any fuel gauge (itself) from any Wabbit of said vintage
would fix you up. IIRC the gauge unscrews from the cluster. Dubious
if fuel type makes any difference, seems the sender is what would be
special.

And, if you have a good estimate of your usual MPG, just record your
odometer at fill up (you do this anyway, to track your MPG, right?
Doesn't everybody? ;) ). Odo Reading plus ( MPG times 15.0 gal.) =
Odo reading to fill up (somewhat) before, or chance an inconvenient
stroll.

I live dangerously. Odo is inop. Fuel gauge is of questionable
accuracy. And not my daily driver. One of these days, I will be
playing with this myself. Question is, how much extra exercise will I
get first? :)
