[Vwpickups] '83 Pick-up For Sale

Hello all,

 

It is with much sadness that I am selling my pickup and liquidating my
inventory of collected VW parts.  Relocation, shifting priorities and too
many projects dictate that it all has to go and go fast.  Here are the
details:

 

1983 Pickup Gasser

1.8L Engine from an ’87 Jetta

5-Speed Manual (Wide Ratio)

Sliding Rear Window

Tarantula Rims w/4 good 185/70-R13 radials

Aluminum Rear Bumper (missing inside rubber caps like they all are)

 

Truck is still the original “grayish” color with a gray interior.  It needs
repainting, the carpet needs replacing and the driver seat needs recovering.
It has a dent in the drivers side rear on the side of the bed just in front
of the fiberglass end cap that holds the tail light.  The only rust spot,
aside from normal surface rust, is a small rusted through hole on the bottom
rear of the drivers door.  This is a Georgia truck and it is rust free on
the shock towers and inside the entire engine compartment as well as
underneath the truck.  

 

The truck is not running right now, it ran when I parked it two years ago.
The fuel pump works and fuel is getting to the fuel distributor but it isn’t
making it to all of the injectors (injector lines are clear).  The engine is
getting a good spark to all four plugs.  So
maybe bad fuel or hardened
deposits have plugged the fuel distributor?

1 Techtonics 1.8 Dual Downpipe (fits 6-bolt exhaust manifold)

1 Distributor

1 set A-Pillar Plastic (interior on the windshield pillars and possibly the
last non-broken set on the face of the earth ;-), they are dark red)

1 Center Console with Gages (black)

1 Front License Plate Holder (mounts to front bumper)

1 Drivers Side Tail Light

3 Fiberglass Bed Endcaps (part the tail lights mount in)

1 Dual Outlet 6-Bolt Exhaust Manifold

2 Lower A-Arms

2 Headlight Bezels

1 Dash Panel (big plastic piece surrounding the instrument panel, radio &
Climate Controls)

Spare Tire Carrier (for under rear of truck)

1 set of Steelie Rims with Marginal to Bad Tires

1 Shoebox sized box full of various Relays

Many extra little parts, pieces & hoses

 

 

I really don’t want to part it out, I want someone to take it all, so I will
price it attractively.  If you want pictures, PM me and I’ll get some sent.
