  Have u tried looking on thesamba.com for parts?  I have had very
good experiences w a guy named bryan wilson fm arkansas, if I remember
correctly.  Look in the classifieds for watercooled vws.  He has a 
phone number on his ads. Give him a call, use my name, he might be able
to help.
