Use the thickest you can get, which is a 3 notch. Someone will say you you
loose compression. It has the significance level of an ant trying to hurt
an elephant for comparison purposes. Are you going to use Raceware Fasteners
instead of stretch bolts? Check their website to see what really is a
significant difference.
You are in for a better ride and /or you are in denial if you think it will
even begin to equal an F350 7.3 diesel 5 speed 4 door long box dually. Ask
a man who has both.

Have an 82 PU with the 1.6 diesel engine. It overheated and I am going to
have to pull the head and replace the gasket. If I have the head checked and
it needs to be milled how do I know which head gasket to use after the shave
job takes off a few thousandths to make it flat again?
What am I in for in doing this?
